Professional and Personal Overview
I have been practicing and teaching homeopathic medicine for over 30 years. I originally trained and practiced homeopathy in England and also studied in Greece and in India. I lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1991to 2009 and I taught homeopathy at different homeopathic schools throughout North America in this time. I was the director of a professional homeopathic training program, the Pacific Academy of Homeopathy in San Francisco from 1996 to 2008. I was the President of the Council for Homeopathic Certification for 5 years and on the board for 17 years. The CHC is the largest professional certification organization for the homeopathic profession in North America. I was also on the board of the California Health Freedom Coalition which helped pass landmark health freedom legislation in California.
I have been the Editor of an online homeopathic journal, the California Homeopath for eight years (www.californiahomeopath.com). I wrote a book in 2008 on the study of Tobacco called Tobacco, An Exploration of its Nature through the Prism of Homeopathy. In 2013 I published a book called The Natural Medicine Guide for Travel and Home, a travel guide using homeopathy and other natural medicines. In 2015 I completed writing a homeopathic textbook, Comparative Materia Medica: Integrating New and Old Remedies.
I have traveled quite extensively around the world, initially spending four years traveling after school, a large part of that being in India and other parts of Asia. I was always interested in eastern philosophy and have practiced yoga for many years. For the last six years, I have also traveled considerably, this time spending much more time in Africa. In 2009-2010, I spent 8 months living and working in Ghana, West Africa, developing a homeopathic training program and working in rural areas. In 2010, I taught at an International Conference in Osaka, Japan and in 2011 spent 4 months in Brazil traveling and meeting homeopathic doctors while in Rio de Janeiro. From February to July 2012, I lived in Malawi, helping to establish a homeopathic clinic and also teaching homeopathy to a group of students, establishing homeopathy in the region and returning there in 2013 and 2014. In May 2012 I was one of the speakers at the first Pan-African Homeopathic Congress, held in Mombasa, Kenya. Since 2013 I have been an advisor and visitor to the Kenya School for Integrated Medicine and am now the Educational Director of the school.

Regular speaker on homeopathy and health issues for various institutions including the UCSF Medical School – Integrative Medicine department, the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Elderhostel groups, the University of San Francisco radio station, San Francisco State University, Department of Holistic Studies, California Institute of Integral Studies.
Published an article in Mothering Magazine in July 2005 on the Flu Vaccine and its impact on children.
Spoke on KPFA radio station, Berkeley, California, in August 2002 on the current issues and controversy of vaccination policy including the implications of introducing a new smallpox vaccine after 9/11.
Contributed a chapter on homeopathic education and certification for a homeopathic textbook published by Churchill Livingstone Publishers.
Published a book in 2007 on a homeopathic study of tobacco called “Tobacco, An Exploration Of Its Nature Through The Prism Of Homeopathy.”
Published a book in 2013, titled “The Natural Medicine Guide for Travel and Home”, a practical guide for all who travel on the use of homeopathic and other natural medicines.
